Terms of Service – Omaha Security Cameras

Payment & Deposits

  • Accepted Payments: Cash, check, or wire transfer. Credit cards may be accepted at our discretion with prior approval; a 3.5% surcharge applies (in compliance with state law and card network rules).
  • Deposits: Projects over $500 require a 50% retainer. Projects over $5,000 require a 75% retainer, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Parts-only orders must be paid in full at the time of order placement.

Invoices & Late Payments

  • All invoices are COD (due upon completion) unless otherwise arranged in writing.
  • Payment is required within 5 days of project completion.
  • Overdue balances are subject to a 1.5% monthly finance charge (18% annually) or the maximum allowed by law.
  • Client is responsible for any reasonable legal, court, or collection costs incurred in recovering past-due balances.

Project Scope

  • Estimates apply only to the specific goods and services listed.
  • Any addendums, change orders, or additional work will be billed at current rates.
  • Final job costs will be reflected on the invoice.

System Setup & Client Responsibilities

  • Client must provide required access, including network passwords, functional network ports, and nearby electrical connections.
  • Passwords, static IP assignments, and device forwarding are the responsibility of the client or their IT administrator.
  • Omaha Security Cameras will assist to the extent possible, but we are not responsible for:
    • ISP or internet provider uptime.
    • Third-party firewall restrictions.
    • Existing equipment functionality.
  • Any additional hardware, cabling, or labor needed due to deficiencies in existing infrastructure will be billed separately.

Monitoring & Maintenance

  • Omaha Security Cameras does not provide ongoing monitoring services unless specifically contracted.
  • Clients are responsible for weekly checks of live feed and recording functionality.
  • Data retrieval, backup, or additional support are available at our standard hourly rates.
  • Optional service plans are available for clients who prefer proactive system monitoring and maintenance.

Warranty

  • Omaha Security Cameras provides a one-year installation labor warranty beginning on the completion date. Any issues resulting from our installation will be corrected at no cost to the client.
  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all equipment. We typically provide advanced replacement hardware and assist with the manufacturer’s RMA process to minimize downtime.
  • If equipment fails due to a manufacturer defect, replacement hardware is covered by the manufacturer, but the service call and labor to remove and reinstall the unit are billable at our current rates, regardless of when the defect occurs.
  • Hardware deemed “not warrantied” by the manufacturer (e.g., acts of God, power surges, flooding, or misuse) will be the client’s responsibility.
  • Security equipment functions as a deterrent only and no guarantee is made for the prevention of crime.

Design Ownership

  • All designs, layouts, and drawings remain the property of Omaha Security Cameras until the project is paid in full.
  • Once paid in full, design rights automatically transfer to the client. Unauthorized reproduction or use of designs before payment is prohibited.
